A meaningful day of service, fellowship and international friendship
Rotary Club of Colombo Uptown
On 12th September, Rotary District 3220 and Rotary District 3231 came together with one shared belief, that when Rotarians connect across borders, the impact reaches far beyond a single project.
From joining hands to strengthen education at Nuwara Eliya Court Lodge Tamil Vidyalayam, to an evening of fellowship at our Rotary International Night, the day was a celebration of what Rotary does best: bringing people together in service and friendship.
The exchange of flags was more than a tradition. It was a symbol of friendship, mutual respect and the enduring connections that make Rotary International truly international. Different districts, different communities, different countries, yet united by the same values of #ServiceAboveSelf
Our sincere appreciation to District Governor Rtn. Kumar Sundararaj RID 3220, and District Governor Rtn. T. S. Ravi Kumar, RID 3231, for fostering this spirit of collaboration.
The evening was made even more special as we celebrated the birthday of President Rtn. Janaka Rathnakumbuta of the Rotary Club of Colombo Uptown, a wonderful moment of fellowship, friendship and togetherness among Rotarians beyond boarders..
A special thank you to District 3220 International Service Chair Rtn. Haneekah Rahil and District 3231 International Service Chair Rtn. Senthilkumar for bringing these connections to life and strengthening the bridge between our two districts.
And to every Rotarian, family member and delegate who shared this day with us, thank you for making it memorable.
Because Rotary is not simply about serving communities. It is about building friendships that cross borders, cultures and generations.
One Rotary. One global family. One shared purpose.
Together, we #CreateLastingImpact.
