On 16 September 2026, the Rotary Club of Kelaniya successfully conducted Phase I of “අරුණෝද දෑස - Eyes of Hope” at the Mahara Pradeshiya Sabha – Gongithota Clinic.
Through this initiative, 103 economically disadvantaged adults, identified by the Divisional Secretariat Office, Mahara, received vision assessments and prescription measurements, helping bring essential vision care closer to those who need it most.
The event was inaugurated by the Divisional Secretary, Mahara, Mr. Lalith Bandara. The next phase will see 103 prescription spectacles provided to the identified beneficiaries, turning assessment into meaningful action and clearer vision.
